# Trial information --- Roon offers a feature complete [14-day no risk free trial](https://roonlabs.com/pricing.html). Your experience during the trial is the same as if you were a paying member. If you're having technical trouble that prevents you from fully utilizing your trial, just [let us know](https://community.roonlabs.com/t/im-having-a-problem-with-roon-where-do-i-report-it/2185) and we'll pause your trial while we work with you to resolve the issue. ### Credit Card Requirement The free Roon trial requires a credit card due to the nature of the contracts with our data partners. If you're worried about providing your credit card information, please note that we use Stripe as our payment processor. They are a multibillion dollar company with plenty of security measures in place, and we're not able to see your full credit card number or security code. ###### Note: If you choose to cancel your trial at any time and wish to delete your credit card information, just [send us an email](https://roonlabs.com/contact.html) and we'll delete the card from Stripe's database. ### Payment Three days before the end of your trial, we'll send you an email to remind you that you will be automatically charged for an Annual Roon membership when your trial expires. When you're charged, you'll get an email with a receipt for your purchase. ### Upgrading to a Lifetime Membership By default, all of our trials automatically convert to an annual membership, but you can upgrade to a lifetime membership at any time by visiting the Membership tab of your [account page](https://roonlabs.com/account.html). Just click the Upgrade to Lifetime button under your trial membership and complete the checkout process. If you're not ready to upgrade to the lifetime membership during your trial, you can always do so at a later date. After you upgrade to the lifetime membership, [send us an email](https://roonlabs.com/contact.html) and we'll refund you for any unused months of your annual membership up to 11 months. ### Checking Trial Status You can check your trial status at any time by logging in to your [account page](https://roonlabs.com/account.html) and visiting the Membership tab. ### Canceling Your Trial Our free trial is no risk and can be canceled at any time. You can visit your [account page](https://roonlabs.com/account.html) and click Cancel next to your trial in the Membership tab. When you cancel, we ask for a few words about your experience and why you chose to cancel, as your feedback is pivotal in growing and improving Roon. ### Refund Policy We have a 30-day refund policy. If you're within the 30-day window and would like a refund, use the instructions for canceling your membership in the prior section and let us know in the feedback form.
